It’s not our version of the opera. Hehe. Kala mo kami yan noh? This is a scene from the Disney Theatrical’s Aida (I guess). Base from the picture, who will say that Aida is not noteworthy?

Sad to say, I didn’t find the script (the plot) that we’ve used in our own version of Aida. But I did find copies of some of the songs that we’ve used. This is our first time to make songs out of nothing. 90% of the play uses music (hence it is called musical play..hehe). The search for the music that will fit for the scenes is easier said than done. It took a lot of time and we failed several times, until we decided to make our very own songs that we will use in the play.

It’s not my first time to write a song but indeed, I never thought that I would write songs for a play, like this. Again, it is very tricky…the words, the melody, and the singers…hmmp! But of course I am very pleased to write songs for our play. And it’s an honor working with our very own director (should I mention her name?). Basta…nag-iisa lang naman s’ya sa buong universe… and SHE rOckz!!!.. Kung wala s’ya wala rin ang play… She translated the acts in “tagalog”…write the script…made the plot… She planed and completed everything…

The props we’ve used, from the background to the costumes, are all fine works of my classmates. Hehe… I know it’s hard to make a set that will look like the pictures in the Internet. But they did it. The backgrounds are well painted; the 3D objects are great, the fire, the accessories, the costumes, weapons, and a lot more. Haha! Let’s give tribute to them… To Novelyn & Jeric, the props masters, to Jann, to Jerwin, Jeric’s twin brother, to Carlo, even to Justin and to those who have helped making accessories and many more… Well-done guys! The play will not be that beautiful and colorful without you!

As to the music ministry, to all of those who have helped us to make that music, to write those lyrics, I’m very glad that we have you with us. Let me thank my fellow writers, Mamakat, Angeli P., Ato, Nikki, Mayor, and those adelfianz and our teachers who have inspired us to write and to record songs. Arigato!

Our actors and actresses are all very well performers and of course singers (sort of…hehe). Some of the guys…don’t sing. But of course they have to sing so they did!
